The following list gives the main types of identification document showing date of birth which may be accepted.
•Full valid passport (note: a passport must be pre-signed and not expired to be valid).
•Valid driving licence with photograph
Turkish Identity Card
Address Verification In addition to the name it is important that the current permanent address, including postcode, is verified as it forms an integral part of identity.
The following list gives the main types of address verification documents, which may be accepted. All documents seen must be originals and at least one of the following must be obtained for all accounts opened. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE LESS THAN 3 MONTHS OLD
• Recent utility bill (e.g. Gas, electric, water, not include mobile phone bill)
• Certificate of residence (Ikametgah)
• Bank/Credit or Store Card statement
You can be a non- resident individual or recently UK resident( less than 2 years) individual:
a) If you want to be our Platinum customer; who are provided service from our dedicated relationship manager in Mayfair branch with specialized services and rates, you should agree to hold minimum GBP 250.000 which can be held in deposits or GBP 50.000 in current account or GBP500.000 mortgage balance individually
b) If you want to be our Elite customer who provide service from our dedicated relationship manager, you should agree to hold minimum GBP 50.000 which can be held in deposits or GBP 10.000 in current account or mortgage balance up to 500.000 GBP individually

If you are resident in UK for more than 2 years, please contact the closest Turkishbank branch.
Yes, the FSCS will protect you up to £120,000 of your eligible deposits in the unlikely event that something happens to TBUK. For example, if you only hold £80,000 in a savings account and £50,000 in a current account with TBUK, the FSCS would protect £120,000 in total.
Joint Accounts
For Joint Accounts, each eligible account holder is entitled to £120,000 protection in total. For example, if there are two account holders, you will each be entitled to £120,000 protection, giving a total of £240,000.
Business Accounts
For Business Accounts, eligible deposits held in business accounts are treated as belonging to a single depositor and are protected up to £120,000 in total.
Temporary High Balances
You may be entitled to protection above £120,000 (up to £1.4m) for six months from when the amount was first deposited or legally transferred. Temporarily high balance are deposits connected with certain events, including:
- Buying or selling your main home
- Major life events such as death, marriage, divorce, retirement, redundancy, disability or incapacity
- Compensation for personal injury or wrongful conviction
Who Is Eligible
FSCS protection generally applies to deposits held by individuals and most businesses. Certain exclusions apply, including deposits held by financial institutions and some public authorities. Your account statement will confirm whether your deposits with Turkish Bank (UK) Ltd are eligible for FSCS protection.
